Pipeline Operator Training

Pressure, Level, Relief, and Programmable Logic Controllers

This course is designed to meet part of the Department of Transportation (DOT) Pipeline Operators covered tasks qualification program. The curriculum reviews the covered tasks detailed in 49CFR 195.428 (Over-pressure Safety Devices) including written and hands on instruction in the following topics.

Inspection, tests, maintain, repair, and calibration of:

  • Relief valves.
  • Pressure switches and variable output transmitters.
  • Overfill protection level switches.
  • Instrument control loops and programmable logic controllers theory.

This one day class cover both written and hands on instruction and workshop phases as well as a test at the end of the day.
